A lot of times it's not a relational dynamic that’s intolerable, it’s the unconsciousness. For example, being in a position of service sucks when you’re forced into, but feels amazing when you choose it. Having more power can feel uncomfortable, but having more power and pretending you don’t feels worse.
Being honest and taking responsibility for our part in a relational dynamic is not only an act of integrity, it’s an act of caring. Truth and love, both attempts to name the unnameable. Say the meta-thing.
