AboutĀ Mercedes
Sometimes I'll explore a thing in a session, and something will shift in someone and they'll turn towards me with care. My experience of Mercedes is more that I'll explore a thing, and then realise that Mercedes already always cared, and I just forgot or had my attention elsewhere for a time. Already always caring, already always accepting, already always here with me in the moment. I find so much ease in that. I can give myself a break, and be me with my stuff, being with Mercedes and her stuff.
Mercedes often has me gently doubting my beliefs about what things are mutually exclusive. Falling into an either/or stance around thinking vs feeling? Spend some time with Mercedes doing both at once. Struggling to imagine someone holding pain and joy at the same time? Spend some time with Mercedes. Getting tangled in how to be with a "you" and an "other" and a "we"? Spend some time with Mercedes.
