There’s Nothing More Sacred 🏮
Mar 27, 2025
What if everything really is OK? Including all our suffering, and that of the whole world. What do we do then?
As one way to start answering that question: I recently came across this great quote by Meister Eckhart, 13th century German Catholic mystic:
“Indeed, if a man thinks he will get more of God by meditation, by devotion, by ecstasies, or by special infusion of grace than by the fireside or in the stable - that is nothing but taking God, wrapping a cloak round His head and shoving Him under a bench. For whoever seeks God in a special way gets the way and misses God, who lies hidden in it. But whoever seeks God without any special way gets Him as He is in Himself, and that man lives with the Son, and he is life itself.”
— Meister Eckhart
I believe everything he says is as true today as it was then, and applies equally to anything you can get from Relatefulness and Relateful Camp. “If you see the Buddha on the road, kill him”, and “the finger that points to the moon is not the moon”, are in the same genre, imo. Drugs and “plant teachers” are subject to the same trap, as is any instruction on how to be authentic.
We will give you Relateful Camp, and it is true that you won’t get Relateful Camp anywhere else, and that it will be a totally unique and divine experience. I have been thunderstruck by its goodness. But it won’t be any more divine than whatever else you’re doing. At least not how I like to use the word.
With love, Jordan
